Spring Debuts on the Red Carpet

Welcome once again to “The Red Carpet by MAGGIE MAE DESIGNS®” at Hats and Horses!

The 139th Kentucky Derby is only 42 days away and today I’d like to share two very special Derby chapeaux with you from MAGGIE MAE DESIGNS®.  Either of these new hat styles would be perfect not only for the Derby but also for a fancy tea or garden party.

Comfort meets fashion with our first chapeau making her debut on the Red Carpet. The Mary cloche is created in bold yellow linen and trimmed with a single large yellow satin and organza rose curl framed with a medley of lime green embroidered organza leaves. You can visit her at the Mary Der202-001 webpage at MAGGIE MAE DESIGNS®.

Chelsea is our second design debuting today. Created in a playful minty lime green and purple leaf print with a periwinkle silk underbrim, the Chelsea is trimmed with a simple yet elegant periwinkle organza rose curl with matching silk leaves and sash. You can visit her at the Chelsea Der60-027 webpage at MAGGIE MAE DESIGNS®.

I hope you have enjoyed meeting these two new lovely millinery creations from MAGGIE MAE DESIGNS®. Please enjoy the following slideshow of these new designs created in celebration of Spring and the Kentucky Derby.

  1. You’re so creative, Sally! I love them both. I especially love the yellow and green in the first Derby number, but also enjoy the structure of the second one. You’re such an artist. Congratulations!
